Valy was born in Italy in 1973. Since the age of 23 she has been traveling around Asia to follow her passions and aspirations. Her thirst to learn languages led her to China in 1996 and then Hong Kong in 1999. This is where her yoga training began, and since then, it has been part of her life completely. Thanks to her dance/ballet background, Valy has embraced the practice with particular ease and whilst exploring the world, she has also embraced the power of her mind through the energy of yoga, meditation and pranayama, in order to improve her physical performance and her mental wellness.
Valy has completed various Yoga Teacher's Trainings and attended various retreats all over Asia.
When Valy moved to Shanghai in 2005, she completed the 200 hours TT Yoga Alliance with Mark Elsner and other reknown teachers in YPlus. In 2009 she attended the 500 hours TT with Lance Schuler, Jean Campbell and Philipp Lamke also at YPlus Shanghai. Valy is also a certified Yoga teacher for kids (Sun Sun Yoga for Children's Standards in 2009 and RJ Yoga UK in 2010), a Yin Yoga teacher (Victor Chng in Thailand in 2007) and a Pilates Mat Teacher (Bodyworks in Shanghai in 2008/2009).
In 2004 she attended an Ashtanga Yoga retreat in Thailand with Paul Dhallaghan, in 2008 a Yoga retreat in Bhutan also with Victor Chong and Richard Fergerson. In 2010 she followed her first teacher Patrick Creelman to Thailand, for an amazing Anusara retreat in Kamalaya, Koh Samui. Many other retreats and workshops have followed, providing a deeper understanding of the practice and meditation and greater peacefulness of mind at every breath.
Valy has also studied Traditional Chinese Medicine while in Shanghai, through certified courses and with direct doctor's practice (she in fact has been working for a TCM Spa in Shanghai through 2010 and started developing her spa/wellness career). She has also been studying Yoga Therapy, Yoga Anatomy, Nutrition, Ayurveda, Yoga Philosophy, Aromatherapy and Meditation/Pranayama and she continues to follow her favourite yoga teachers around the world. All round, she has a wide experience base that she would love to pass on to people in her surrounding.
Valy is now based in Singapore since June 2011 and she is teaching Yoga in private studios and spas.
